Original radio traffic and conversations Flight-No.: LTU 730 Airbus A330-200 D-ALPF Bonus: Airplane landing in Munich shot from a helicopter A new adventure goes from Düsseldorf to the Maldives. In the Cockpit a well-proven team, chef pilot Joe Moser and copilot Stefan Kater. It gos directly into the dark night direction Austria and Hungary. Behind us a cold night, before us a Holiday paradise with an air temperature around 30 degrees. During the flight Joe Moser explains some technical backgrounds: Why are the propellant prises so diverse in the world? Why is kerosene more expensive on the Maldives than on the continent? How does the wind influence the milage in the cruising altitude? At teatime there is such a fabulous sunrise that you can only enjoy from the cockpit. The first small islands in the turquoise water tells us that we are at the north pick of the Maldive Islands. After a right curve slowly the airport also called as aircraft-carrier appears. Just a line in the water with a few houses on the right represents the landing runway 18 of the Maldives. As a speciality of the Maldives-episode the next thing is a flight with a TwinOtter over the islands. Wonderful pictures of the holiday paradise close this episode of PilotsEye. As a bonus-track you can see a landing by LTU-captain in Munich shoot from a helicopter. Peter Thoma from Heliteam Süd flies behind the landing airbus into the runway and accompanies it all the way to the gate. DVD: PAL, Surround Sound, 16:9, 70 min., Specials |
